Customer Reviews
All I can say is WOWThis far surpassed by expectations! Though there were far more positive reviews than negative, with the mixed reviews I was a bit apprehensive. All I can say is that was wasted energy. This is AWESOME. It's made SO well, it sounds AMAZING and well ... there's nothing I can say but WOW what a wonderful Tambourine! I've been having a little fun with it myself, but a neighbor and I are going to have a "porch jam party" sometime very soon including a Djembe Drub, Maracas and this absolutely remarkable Tambourine. Honestly, I expected something far less durable, less sound quality and less professional for the price ... and what I recceived is a gem!5Very Good Instrument!Very good strong tambourine. The sound is solid and very clear. It is easy to hold and you don't have to do much to really play it cause it practically plays itself.4Quality Tambourine. Good SoundThis is a quality percussion instrument, which is exactly what I expect from Remo. The head (polyester film) is bonded to the frame & has a good, very bright, live sound. I added some moleskin strips to the inside edge to make it a bit drier & darker. The one element that prevents me from giving this 5 stars, is the weight of the instrument. It's a bit on the heavy side, so it can require more muscle control in your wrist.4Wasn't impressedI usually love REMO products. I play gigs five days a week and I've owned one of their synthetic head djembe drums for years and have always praised it. This tambourine sounded really bad, though. Skin was nice but bells sounded so thin and cheap I had to return it. In my opinion this is good for practicing or students but not good for professional use. Then again it's only $25 so you get what you pay for.2Calling All Church Folk!!!Ok so I'm 19 and I cannot count how many tambourines I have destroyed. I can really play the thing, especially for my folk who are in the Black church you know what I'm talking about. I went from plastic to goat skin, then to fiberskyn. This is actually my second fiberskyn purchase but this time I bought the double rows which makes the tambourine heavier and I like that. It's not as easy for me to really beat the thing like the single rows but I can still have fun. The fiberskyn is the best quality you can get and the price is absolutely worth it. My last fiberskyn was destroyed but the only thing that broke were the shingles, lol. First they would just come off from excessive beating. Then I would hammer them back in and then, they would split in two and fall off. Now all of the shingles are off my single row and its just a drum-head now lol. The fiberskyn itself survived, torn but it survived. :D5For light to medium playingBruises for the first use. Can t beat it too hard. But it sounds great. Heavy.Update after a month: This tambourine is durable and sounds awesome. But I want it to be 11 inches so that my hand won t hit the sides and get bruised. I added a star, because it just takes a little getting used to. Good for light to medium playing. Not as loud as I would like, but use a microphone and speaker to amplify the sound.3A very solid and good sounding tambourineThis is a very good tambourine that is made with recycled materials for the shell and man-made materials for the drum head. It comes with two rows of shingles that are very solid. It is a bit heavy, but it is worth the wait. I have enjoyed using this over the last couple of days. I strongly recommend this item. It has a wonderful sound in my opinion5Percussion perfection! All my grandson wanted this year were percussion instruments to add to his collection things his fellow musicians could grab for a quick, impromptu session in the rec room. Because we live 300 miles apart, and returns are impossible unless they're ordered online, this tambourine looked like a perfect fit, and I ordered it without a second thought. When it came, and I opened it up to check it out, I was filled with questions about its sound, because obviously, Grandma doesn't know a thing about these "noise makers." I took it to a local music store, with the thought of checking out its quality, and the owner came out to inspect it, assuring me that the Remo brand was the best. And so I wrapped it up. The best surprise was my grandson's reaction when he opened it, with a "Yes! A Remo!" It was then that I knew I'd made the best choice. I've since had reports of more fun emanating from the basement when the group gathers for a jam session, and the tambourine is still kicking' out its share of the "racket."5Great!!This tambourine is awesome!! Its really loud and such a smooth sound!! I had one when i was younger and this one reminds me so much of it. I was going to buy one from walmart and im glad i didnt. This one is so much better quality and sound! You wont be dissapointed if you purchase.5I love it but, my family doesn t......lolNice sound and because I don t know how to play it my family can t stand to see me pull it out. I do play it to annoy my sister.5
