    POSI've had the keyboard for 3 months and I'm having several issues with it. Some keys are doubling up (like I hit R and it types it twice) and other keys are missing completely (I type E and there is no E).This behavior is sporadic. I would strongly not recommend this keyboard. I'm super disappointed.Edit 1/5/19: this seems to have gotten worse. It s now tripling some key presses. Can t wait for my new keyboard to arrive that I ordered to replace this.1It seems to be fine during use but when waking up from sleep or ...I bought this to save desk space and replaced my full size Razer Black Widow Chroma V1. These V2's have an erratic bug where the LEDs flash sometimes. It seems to be fine during use but when waking up from sleep or other activities sometimes the LEDs flicker. It doesn't do it when I don't use the Razer Synapse software so it's clearly a bug they still have yer to fix. Otherwise it is a quality device. I like the font of the characters on this instead of the blocky lettering on the V1 keyboards4DO NOT BUY THISSS KEYBOARDI will type this review exactly has it comes out of my keyboard:I bought this product because I like smaller keyboards, I also like lighted keyboards with good switches. Although the lighting iss great and the the "clickynesss" of the keyboard is great, there is some MAJOR problemss with keysss sticking and sstaying stuck for a loooong time. It just seems to be random and doesn't happen conssisteently from key to key. Although some keys seem to have morre problems than others, even AFTER constant cleaning of the keys and keyboard. After sseveral attempts of fixing this through upgrading Synapse (the driver sssoftwwware of Razer) and contacting support (running through their useless attempts to fix it), it continues to happen over and over again and causses major issues in competitive gaming (as well ass doing any sort of wrriting of code). You will dodge longer, or just seem to randomly do ssomething that you shouldn't. Asssss you can see with this review, the continual key stickynesss is nothing you would want in a game or to even do daily work. There doesn't seem to be a solid fix for it AND Synapse hasss been in beta now for years, so I don't expect a fix to come to the keyboard anytime soon. So my suggestion, serious gamerrs and developers should stay FAR FAR FAR away from this product and probably all Razerr keyboards.NOTE: This review was not changed other than to correct spelling errors. The repeattted keys you see are typing at a normal speed on the keyboard. So imagine how it is for gaming or writing code? Pathetic to say the least.1It's not THAT quietThis keyboard touts its quiet keys, but honestly, they're not so quiet as to make it a selling point; in fact they're as loud, if not louder, than any other keyboard I've used. To their credit, if you go to Razer's website, they have a preview of what this keyboard sounds like-- listen to that, and tell me that's considered quiet.Secondly, none of the secondary key functions ($, @, %, &, etc.) light up; this isn't a big deal if you're a good typist, but in the event you're like me and have brain fart late at night and can't recall which key is used for which secondary key function, you're kind of SOL.Aside from those two points, it's a great keyboard. The ability to program chroma configurations and macros for games is a huge win. And yes, it is very pretty to look at, and syncs beautifully with my Razer mouse in regards to coloring.If you're looking for a gaming keyboard that goes above and beyond--- and you were brought here by The Wirecutter reviews like me, either get this or its other model with the numpad, or splurge on the third model that has legitimately quiet keys if that's a big deal to you.4Love em.I am using this keyboard for extreme gaming... And extreme office work in data science/engineering. I love it, any reviews you see that say the thing is messed up or something, it's got to be a fluke, driver/machine specific issue, or user error. Everyone I Know with a Razer keyboard loves it and they work perfect indefinitely.This is my second Razer keyboard, first using the orange switches. I absolutely love it. I replaced my old black widow chroma v1 because it started freaking out, giving me random input and stuff that just made it crazy unusable. It was about 7-8 years old (maybe less? Not sure been a long time), and I damaged it by sleeping on it the other day... Don't judge too hard, I work and play on the computer.The orange switches are SO much better than the green IMO. They are basically dead silent by comparison (the green switched kboard I had needed o-rings to even dampen the super loud clacks to a tolerable level). The orange switches five you an extremely light tactile response, which I like personally. I also program in a reactive light layer over all of my profiles so I have a nice visual feedback if what was hit for a fraction of a second. Works really well for me, even with my super high words-per-minute typing and super spastic gaming.The only thing that is upsetting and it's my fault... I bought the one without the number pad. I don't know why I did this to myself because I used the number pad a TON... I needed the replacement keyboard, the numpad ones available on prime next day were white only, couldn't wait the extra day because of work using my spare kboard (tiny folding Bluetooth keyboard, basically for limping through things or for raspi SSH/RDP setup). That said, I actually like this unit without the number pad. I'll go find some goofball numpad peripheral to use later.Seriously, you can't go wrong with these boards, especially the orange switch type. The green is good but it's super annoying loud for me. Never used the yellow (I think they have zero feedback and just a linear response curve, that and they're also really expensive for some reason).I can't think of many people who wouldn't like this keyboard, and the only people who wouldn't like it are those who get frustrated super easily and are lazy for the lighting set-up. Yes, the LED set-up takes time and effort for useful awesome multilayer multiprofile config, but it's so so worth it. I like to build profiles for every major piece of software and most games I use. Sometimes the included chroma plugin (some games and very few applications) are cool, but I usually prefer my own deal.5Great upgradeYou're not going to get a better deal for a quality keyboard when this is 50% off, as it is now. The Razer software is very easy to use (I changed the "pause break button" to be a mute button instead, the "page up" to be a volume up, "page down" to be volume down. and "scr lk" to be a button to mute microphones)I've seen a couple reviews say you have to log in to software for the keyboard settings to work every time you boot your computer. That is fake news.The orange switches are very comfortable to type on as well. I truly liked my K55 keyboard, but I couldn't go back to it after having this. Much better for both typing and gaming.If you're concerned about the lack of a number pad you can buy one for cheap on Amazon as well (there's a nice one with blue switches for $16 as of typing this), while still having a much smaller footprint on your desk than a full size keyboard.The wrist rest is also very comfortable as long as you have the back stands up to elevate the keyboard (that's just my preference though).5Best, Consistant Mechanical KeyboardThis is the second one that I've purchased. I have three others all purchased through Amazon that are off brands (trying to save on the cost) that over time have died. I started using the 10keyless or minimalist boards about 3-4 years ago. First ones were soft touch on servers in racks, but more recently the gamer keyboards like this one. I'm often using the system in a dark room so I love the backlighting and will not get a system or keyboard that in not back lite. I started with systems back in the early 80s and love the tacit feel of the original PC/AT mechanical keyboards of the time. I guess because I learned to type on a purely mechanical keyboard. This is arguably the best keyboard on the market at this time with consistent and reliable feel of the keys.5Wow! Fastest and smoothest keyboard ever!I got the Razor Death Adder mouse and was so impressed by the speed and accuracy that it opened up my eyes that I had a crap, cheap keyboard and it was time to upgrade. I write reports for a few hours a day and I am working to trim down the time and it takes typing up reports and navigating websites and clicking on tiny dots in web pages, etc. the regular mouse was slowing me down. The mouse was so good, hell, I better upgrade my keyboard and see how that works. I went to Best buy to try them all out and liked this one the best. I got it and yes!! It is speeding up my typing a lot. Also the software with the mouse and keyboard seemed to somehow interface well with my computer and my whole computer system now also seems a good percentage faster. Amazing! I am so pleased with these products and with a 2 year warranty they will pay for them selves soon by the time I save at the computer doing my work.. Good job Razor !! p.s. I am not using these for gaming, but went down this road to get the speed I need. I am no longer slowed down my reports. It is just my nimbleness with which to handle the keys and mouse now...5K95what?Move over k95 (literally!). The key clicks are so satisfying and fast. Tested for 6 hours in fortnite today. No pain on my wrist/hands to speak of. I know Razor is notorious for a lack of durability... hope it holds up.FYI - the palm rest is a damn dream.5Not a great experience on a macI wanted a mechanical keyboard to use with my mac. Razer was one of the few makers that seemed to support OSX well with their software driver. Unfortauntely, while the keyboard itself is very comfortable and responsive, it constantly flakes out (I have a friend using it as well with his mac and he has the same issues).At least half a dozen times a day a random key will stick and repeat, or pressing keys will result in special characters going to the terminal insteand of what's intended, etc... and the only way to make it stop is to yank the usb cable and plug it back in. In the beginning I thought it was something I could live with but it happens too regularly and is incfedibly disruptive.I do not recommend this keyboard if you intend to use it with a mac.For the record, I have a 2015 macbook.2
