    Intense colors! I do love this product. I use it on handmade papers that absorb too much color from traditional watercolors. I also use them on "prepared surface" pages in sketchbooks. Sealed with gesso, the colored surface is rich enough to give a medium background on which to draw or paint. The crayons can also be used as solid highlight color. The examples are direct to handmade paper (fox) and prepared surface with crayon highlights (llama) copyrighted to Lynn McClain 2018. 5These are amazing! I love these so much! I didn't realize how much I would love these! Kinda' wish I would have bought the bigger set, because I know I'll be using them a lot.They dissolve really well with water and blend and layer beautifully. 5A++ product, I use them as face paints I use these as face paints. They are AMAZING. I make a little puddle in the palm of my left hand- rub the neocolor stick around & work it into paint & use the stick to apply it to the face/hands etc. The color is wonderful & opaque & the best part is ( unlike grease facepaints) these neocolors do not rub off on your costume at all. Another amazing thing is that they clean off easily with a wet wipe or washcloth & water. You might have to work a little & use soap for the color red though. I have the giant set $$$$ & a small set. I will own a set for the rest of my life- they are fantastic. When I show up at a school play or event to do face painting- everyone pushes the gross messy grease paints aside & we all end up using my Caran D'Ache Neocolors for all the face painting because they are THAT good. I usually have to break mine in half to share with numerous people but that is ok because the make-up on stage looks super & non of it wipes off on the costumes!! 5Beautiful and pristine Phenomenal!!! Beautiful and pristine! I haven't used them yet but can't wait until this weekend. I did inspect the contents because half of what I purchase I have to return and reorder due to shipping damages. Not these!!! That in itself was such a relief. Not a single broken or melted item! Thank you for taking such care in packaging and shipping this fabulous product. Hmmm it's 1030 pm and the house is quiet. After talking about them I don't think I can wait for the weekend. I'm starting a project now 5Fabulous range of colors and unique medium I love these! They work similarly to watercolor pencils but have a much smoother, heavier, and creamier lay down when dry and provide thicker coverage when wet. The colors are bright and vibrant and this set provides a great range of colors and neutrals to use for skin tones. They can be used by applying directly to dry paper and then going over with a brush, by using a brush to pick up color directly from the pastel for lighter washes, or for the deepest coverage, applying to wet paper. So far I've used them on mixed media paper, in art journals, on watercolor paper and in adult coloring books all with success. If you want to try them out and you like coloring or sketching people, go with this set or higher. The smaller sets do not have the salmon color which is perfect for light skin tones. 5Love them! I kept seeing these in art journal videos on YouTube and I HAD to have them. I'm glad to say I was not disappointed.The tin is awesome, I like using the top to blend colors!The crayons are creamy wether you use them dry or wet. You can scribble with them and then use a water brush over them, or touch a water brush to the tip and almost create a watercolor effect with them.I did snap the white crayon in half about a week after I got them, but that was the only one, and I wrote very hard (like I can't use mechanical pencils because I snap the lead). After that happened I went a little easier on them and haven't had any problems. They are about the same width of a crayola crayon.I'm really happy with the color selection of the 30, my only complaint is that I wish I had gotten a bigger set because they are great! 5Expand your sketching Univers If you're doing watercolor, these will be fun. If you sketch in pencil and then paint in acrylics, you'll love neocolor. 5Caran d,Ache - need I say more! Awesome product It's hard to describe the difference this item has made with my artistic endeavors. Whether using in coloring books, or putting down a base layer on a canvass. First of all, Caran d'Ache icreates world class art materials. This item has so many uses - wet or dry. The colors are exquisite and if used as a base layer, increases the life span of some very expensive colored pencils. It can be used on its own or with other products and after spending some time using this product, I recommend this item to everyone - whether they paint or just love coloring books. It can take your work to the next level on your first try. 5Great product for beginner watercolorists! I was worried about how these pastels would work but I should've known CD would have something up their sleeve. These pastels are a perfect complement to my Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils. the pencils are great for details and smaller areas but these pastels are amazing to cover backgrounds like sea, sky etc in my coloring books. They don't leave any lines when I add water and the pigment load is so high that a very little goes a long way. Since these feel more like crayons, mixing colors is actually easier than the pencils. I've only done a few pictures with them but I already wish I'd bought a bigger set! 5First time ever using Caran d'Ache Classic Neocolor, and love them I absolutely love these can't even begin to explain the joy this product brings me. The crayons are silkie smooth, and they look amazing when water is applied. Very easy to use, and they last a long time as you don't need very much of the pigment to get the desired you want. They're expensive, but well worth it!! 5
